Not sure if it's past it or not but don't reckon it'll last another winter.

Been sat at the yard for a couple of years, took a couple of slices off and some of the light bits are a tad soft

It's in Kingston 5 mins off the a3

Hi kev where to are you and the wood I am in Dorset and dont want to drive for miles and miles but I do love beech like that to make tables from

Cheers Mark

Its in Kingston SW London so bit of a trek I guess.

If one guy could get that onto a pickup I'd look after it until my next trip to Tiverton, then throw it out at Gobbypunk in passing so to speak but I think it's a bit much for one isn't it...

Yeah think it took 3 and a carters to get it on, there is someone with a machine who we can get to load if he's there.

There's four bits of it if it's more worth while, biggest two on show

OK then: gobbypunk, if you're interested enough I'm sure we could arrange some help to get it loaded for my next trip to Devon though I doubt I'd want to be flying down the 303 with all 4 lumps on board! And it will probably be towards the very end of the year.

I had a couple of bits of beech like that a few years ago. Milled and turned some of it into benches (indoors), the rest chain saw sculpture's (soaked in linseed and turpentine they still survive outside 24/7). If you can keep it on bearers off the ground and under a tarp it will keep for a while.

Hi Nepia that would be totally amazing ,I could give you a chainsaw carving or something and a bit for fuel for being such a star obviously the biggest bits would be preferred but whatever you can do.So now to Kev what do you want for it or is it a freebie Many Thanks Guys

I'm not after anything for it though I often accept beer as a goodwill gesture.

Jon knows where it is and if you let me know when I can ask Mike if he can load (normally bung him a tenner or so for his efforts).

I'll try not to bury it.
