Yes it is a 2.16 metre diameter, eight bladed Stocker 8 Tree Spade on a 6wd Magirus deutz. If you ever want to see it work, let me know where you are and next time we are in the area, I will let your know (we work all over the UK). You are also welcome to visit the tree(s) again in 10-20yrs!

My neighbour pruned / pollarded their Robinia Frisia last Summer as it had become spindley and this year there is so much new fresh growth it looks lovely so I've done the same. Had the dead bough cut out and had my Robinia pruned last month so I will have to wait until next Spring to see results but I'm wondering whether to treat it as a shrub rather than a tree....any thoughts? Its 10 years old.

A healthy one will certainly take annual trimming but it's a strange way to treat a Robinia. Do you want a tree or a shrub? If the latter perhaps removal of the Robinia and replacement with a desirable shrub is the way to go...?
