if you can hold out till January Edelrid are bringing a new helmet out, ultra lite 2.

Phanner have a very good helmet already on the market.

It has the best ventilation system.

Unfortunately the boss man won't spring for a protos, otherwise I would have gone for one I reckon.

Had one years ago, not a bad lid until I chucked a log on it in the back of a truck.

My only gripe was I'm not a fan of peltor visors or muffs that I find fragile in comparison to sordins.

Solid helmets, I have an odd shaped head and they're too wobbly for me but otherwise I'd rate them better than any petzl/kask/Stein lid.

My current lid is a petzl, but with the wheel at the back, can't get away with the new one with side wheels, and I don't like helmets with foam inserts, especially in the winter, not that I'm fussy at all....

Does any one know if the husky/sordin stuff fits on these? They do look good. I loved my ecrin roc but its getting a bit old now.

Looks like it's Peltor fittings only from what I can see
