562 import

Hi all,

 

Anyone imported one? If so any problems with it? Anybetter than the 560? Been using a import 372 and it's better than the uk spec so seeing as I smashed up my 2nd 560 thinking may try one.

its the same saw but running on 3/8chain........you just have to change clutch drum bar and chain

Pretty much the same saw . only difference is High top filter , different clutch side cover , and as said 3/8 running gear .

I've had 2 converted to 3/8 bar and chain, it's more how they run. Seen a few people they run them on 28inch bars which is massive for a saw that size but apparently pull them with ease. If they do run that bar must be more powerful surely, hence my asking.....

Don't think they are more powerful in standard form . The big bars are probably skip chain and run in soft wood . The actual moter is the same as a 560 as I understand it . Therese plenty of tweekers in US though . Petemate has tweeked my 560 and it runs stronger than standard .

HI ELMS look on youtube mate 560xp on there but to run 28" bar on a 60cc saw looks very hard works thanks jon

Husqvarna quote identical specs for both saws . 59.8cc 4.7hp and 3.65Nm torque .

It has a higher output oiler and they are either cutting pine/fir with skip or it is ported. Once ported, these 562's make a good bit of power. You won't be boxing all day with a 28, but when you need the reach or to fell 20" spruce, it will do the job.

When I was making that previous post, in the back of my mind was a little niggle of a memory. It came to front when I was poking around on the webs for something else related. Mitch has a vid of the 562, stock, compared to a few other saw with a 25" bar attached. Here she is:
