Example of dating

Say serial number is

s/n 11 160015

First two is the year ie 2011

Second two are the week ie number 16

Last four are the number of the saw made that week ie 0015

So saw was the 15th of the production line of week 16 in 2011

Mine is s/n `2011. 5200009 so the 9th saw made in week 52 of 2011 ?

Longest ive had to wait was for a 395 throttle cable which took nearly 3 weeks and not much shorter for a 394 inlet manifold.

Longest wait for stihl around 5 days for starter paul springs for an old 076.....

Despite having more husqvarnas than stihls I do have to say that spares availability and prices are pretty poor in comparison to stihl parts.

Cant remember for sure now when it was bought 2012 or 2011 but that is the number on it . You do get Fender guitars with different dates on them . You can have a 57 neck in a 59 body ( both written in pencil ) then the metal neck plat is a 56 just coz they had a huge bin full of neck plates all stamped up ....
