The biggest issue is locating the spring for the throttle lock correctly, if it is not in the correct position it will restrict the trigger opening, very difficult to explain where it should be.

 

I know what you mean,but I reckon when I get it all attached it is good to go,both parts of the outer sleeve are secure with the cable moving freely until I fit it on the carb

I would check to see if the arm part numbers are the same.

It maybe the same handle/tank but remember it is a different carb between non xtorq and the x torq versions and they are different.......

 

 

The arm numbers are different, the 372xp (old) has a horizontal carb mount, the x-torq has a diagonal mount like the 385/390xp

right enough it is different,have to say im not overly impressed with the saw,im using a 576 just now and its miles better

 

 

I'll put a pic up for you in a few days time (hopefully) of how the linkage should be routed, as I'm modding my 362xp, so I will be setting up the same linkage
