Who's had a good read read recently?

I've just reread 'Bleachers' by John Grisham for the umpteenth time, an amazing book.

Been reading loads of read them once gritty crime, but they get a little samey, and am keen on getting a few recommendations.

John Steinbeck's East of Eden is what I'm reading at the moment, half way and really like his style although still yet to work out where the story will lead.

I assume you have read the the millennium trilogy by steig larsson- a must.

Millennium trilogy was one of my favourite literary experiences.

I should read The Painted House, I know one of the main characters is Luke Chandler. Same name as my old groundie who emigrated to NZ!

If you enjoyed Larsson, check out Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole Series. Gritty crime thriller.

Ian Rankin's Knots and Crosses is good.

David Baldacci's The Camel Club is also great.

Sorry for the overload, I can't remember the last time anyone asked me for a good book to read!

We're only getting started Joe!

I normally get through about two a week.

I've read Knots and Crosses, some Baldacci and some Joe Nesbo, all good stuff.

Anything by Rankin gets my vote.

Currently reading Stonemouth by Ian Banks (same guy that wrote the Wasp factory, a disturbing but fascinating read), and so far loving it. You have such empathy/familiar feeling for the characters.

I've also enjoyed Harlequin, Heretic, 1346 and the other one in the series by Bernard Cornwell.

Two a week? If it weren't for your recent twins I'd say that was a sexless marriage to blame! :D
