Leyllandi fire wood

trunks like that should be milled...

 

it's excellent timber. was never sure which species leylandii reffered to so here are the two that i think they could be.

 

 

chamaecyparis lawsonia

cupressus leylandii

 

both are featured on these pages and although the port orford cedar is the better quality they are pretty much identical from a dried wood point of view.

Felled these beasties earlier in the year measured one out at 65ft to the tip and that was'nt the biggest, stump of the biggest one is in other pic 24" bar on 395 for size reference :thumbup1: Think we left about twenty ton or more of it down there as was too far for us too fetch it back probably produced about 20 transit loads of chip too.
