Had a go at footlocking today It took a few mins to get usto it but after that found it works a treat It took me a few mins to get the rope up into the tree but got there in the end .

I can see this is going to be great fun. the Merrells that I was wearing worked a treat keep the rope inplace nice but no ankle protection . I had a go on a standard prussic .

ordered myself some scarpa's this week from honeybros, recieved them today, and did a good 6 miles of walking in them. Should have a chance to climb in them next week but from wearing them in today, I can see them being pretty damn good for it. Dunno what people are on about not being able to walk in them, they are designed as a walking/scrambling boot. I plan to wear them on a trip to brecon beacons and snowdonia, so we shal see how my feet fair after that :)

Climbed in the scarpa's today, very nice to climb in. Compared to other boots i have climbed in, steelies and haix chainsaw boots, these are much more comfortable, very lightweight and have superb grip, even in the pissing rain with slippery branches like today.

Didnt get a chance to do any proper footlocking, but i can imagine them being ideal.

Overall a great boot, but a touch pricey if you only plan to use them for tree climbing.
