Quarter sawing

the logosol mill is excellent for doing quarter sawn stuff, as long as the blanks are longer than 75" you can handle some pretty big diameter logs, shorter lengths need a "sub table" and kind of limit the diameters, but like most things, theres workarounds

Yep I can imagine the logo sol would be perfect for re sawing the quarters on.

bit of a palava if you ask me in those vids but i assume the chainsaw is all you have.

 

i'd quarter the whole tree and put it through a 30" rip saw

 

.

 

 

If you had a bandsaw handy you'd re saw the quarters on it - this is if you are in a back garden, difficult access etc
