If the 365 is an Xtorqe then all you need do is grind the fins of the inside of the transfer covers and it becomes a 372 ...

 

 

And if it isn't x-torq, stick the 375K engine on instead to get a 75cc saw!

Can anyone confirm if i can get a 30" bar for my 3120? Its a 404 pitch.

I'm told its a 42, 36 and 24, before I do anything maybe a 30" bar on my 3120 would do the business.

I would get this and change to a 9 or 10 pin 3/8 sprocket. More chain speed and 3/8 gear is cheaper.

Could always put a 372xp top end on your 365. Couple of hundred quid for a meteor kit... you'd probably lose more than that selling the 3120. Cheapest option anyways...

 

That is an option, but Meteor still is aftermarket, even though it is one of the better ones. They have a better reputation for their pistons than for the cylinders.

 

Anyway, the 372 doesn't have anywhere near the power of the 390.

 

Personally, I find the 576 a rather heavy and large model, for still basically being a 70cc saw (for a Husky, that is). The model still suffer from being a "first generation" stratified saw.

The ms390 will just about run a 20" but it wont be great. I had one and run a 16" on it and it went well, the 18" was ok, and on rare occasions even a 24" in softwood, when my then mainline saw 046 took a dump.

 

Its not a bad saw imo, but not the same as the saws talked about previously in this thread. The OP is asking about a Husqvarna 390xp not the stihl ms390. Chalk and cheese I'm affraid:001_huh:

What size of bar can a Husqvarna 390xp run? 28 inch seems to be the max recommended but was wondering would it run a 36".
