I just had an order arrive today, super fast delivery, from honey brothers

Opened the box and had a look at a stein rc2001 that i had ordered and the bollard part is not quite as smooth as i had hoped for. Too be honest i would rather wrap the rope around the tree for friction, would probably cause less damage!

It is either spatter from the welding or grindings that have got on there before it was galvanised.

Very disappointed and annoyed, not with honies as i am sure they will replace it hassle free, because i am now going to have to post it back and end up out of pocket on the postage and more importantly not get to play with my new goodies.

What ever happened to quality control!?!?!?

I think its called the internet / mail order. If you saw that in your local shop what would you tell them to do with it ? Some people would not bother to return it so worth a go on the suppliers part.

Gutted, mine arrived yesterday ready to play tomorrow, all smooth and again a very quick delivery from honey brothers. Used them alot and sure they would not try to palm you of with a duff one through mail order, hope it's sorted with out too much headache, just very frustrating when you get something new and shiny and is not right

I only opened up the package this eve so havent had a chance to phone them. I am sure they will be very agreeable, if not I have a can of whooopass to unleash. But it is not really h bro's fault but steins quality control. As it was a sealed box.

But not happy and certainly not willing to run a rope round it

Well i just phoned Honey Bros who were happy to pick it up, so no costs are incured by myself. But not so good is that they recon they are all the same :( can this be the case?

I have used flying capstans, GCRS, Hobbs etc and none of these had any imperfections on the surface . They were all silky smooth! Does any body else have a stein bollard with a ruff surface?
