Yep had my last pair go on me at just under a year old. Both the supplier and Haix wanted nothing to do with them.

I'll try a pair of their forest boots next as high chainsaw boots are hard to find.

I've just bought arbortec pro fell experts and worn them for the first time today - so far I'm very impressed (although it is obviously early days!). Very comfortable from the start, appear to be extremely well made, and are decent high boots. A great alternative to protector pros - let's see how long they last...

I've had loads of haix boots over the years and have found them all to be very comfy and durable. Always from the gore tex range. However, The last few pairs, after 12 months or so, have found that the tongue wears and fills with fine saw dust cramping your toes until they become unwearable. you can cut the tongue and hook the dust out, but is a pain and takes time. Apart from that and overall, a very good quality and comfy boot from the first time you put them on.

For the last 2 years I have been wearing meindle air streams, very comfortable, similar in feel to the haix. They are still in pretty good condition (I wear them every day at work) and can see them lasting perhaps another 12 months. The only problem I have found is that the winter before last I suffered from cold feet (I have never had this before). Not a problem last winter but then it rarely got below freezing.
