Disco 3 & 4

Never had an issue with our h/brake.

These so called "issues" with these cars are blown out of all proportion. The very large majority of people who actually get to own one, would buy another. Can't be all that bad!

I know you can retro fit springs to Disco 2 that are on air, but the early 2's had springs, the 3's never had springs, so I'm not sure how you could fit them???:confused1:

I'm not sure then, I didn't actually look underneath.

I was not intending on buying it but wanted to try one. But now it's growing on me, And the more I think about it the more I want one.

The later disco 2 had mostly air, just at the rear, but I think it was mainly the base models that had springs at rear, such as commercial.

Like Huck, I've never heard of springs on a 3 though.

We've had a 57plate for 6 months, did the handbrake early on, no other issues. Its a great car to drive and had 7 seats or 5 and a huge load space. I like it so much that I can see me replacing my defender with a disco commercial in a year or two...

Can I ask what you did to the hand brake?
