Beech in decline.

This Beech has been in decline for a few years we will be taking it down in the next couple of weeks or so. As you can see it will be a bit of a challenge, no access for a crane or MEWP so it is all lowering by hand. It is around 60-70ft tall and approx. 17ft circumference, I don't think the residents will say much about it, and plenty of firewood for the boys.

That cross is very close! I'd it possible for the cemetery to move some of the stones?

Last time we did a dismantle in a churchyard, we cut old car tyres in half and placed them over the top of the gravestones to minimise damage in case we had an accident. PS No accidents and no damage - Result!

Tyres are a good idea, or some scaffolding and boards as protection.

It looks like you might be able to get a Teupen Leo 23GT tracked spider lift or similar into that area. Might be worth considering as it would reduce the risk of damaging any of those expensive headstones.
