Like I've been saying for years another little hurdle set in place to hurt the smaller firm...

 

But Lee, it may go against the grain having a builder taking 20% tax from you, but it doesnt mean you will pay any more tax at the end of the year.

Worked in building trade for four years on stonework. When you are taxed 20% you should also be sent a voucher to hand to the tax man when you do your returns, so you shouldnt have to worry Andy. CIS doesnt exist anymore.

I went to the tax office when the cis cards were fased out. You get issued a tax reference no. which you quote to building company. You use that same no. everytime. Sub to many different construction companies.
