Funny old boy that farmer your dad worked for. He only got all that he got by the stroke of a pen.

 

He hasnt got muxh left now simon, not much left to sell at all. Sad really.

Your right Ben, he did his dough and the land he got his hands on living the high life.

 

Makes perfect sense to me! unless you have got two sons and a few wife's to pay for.:biggrin:

In farming you have to remember one thing, if you ain't the farmers son, or to become his son inlaw, you are merely a number. Loyalty counts for nothing.

 

If you don't like it, move on. For sure there'll be another farmer around the corner willing to let you earn his living for him.

That's so true,ive known it time and again when a conscientious worker who has given the best years of his life,often above and beyond the call,has simply been booted out of the farm gate under the title of 'redundant' .

And a 16 year old starts before his old footprints are dry in the mud.
