i wondering which chain to get i got alot of big hardwood too cut and need a good cross cutting chain the bar is 42''

 

423RNFD009 404 .063 1.6MM 122 DL

 

any thoughts would be much appreciated

I've had good luck with Stihl RMF and Oregon 27

 

Whattaya know bout 404?! Yer running 3/8 on an 088, for chrissakes!

Hi Shavey, can you not use standard 404 stihl rapid super on that? Cheers, John.

.404 chain is all generally the same gauge (1.6mm) so take your pick from the different cutter types, tie straps and drive link safety features.

 

And before niko chirps in... We don't use any other gauge for .404 in the uk!
