Going...Going...Gone.

I was down Croome Park way this morning hoping to get some not-so exclusive pictures of 360’s stuck in mud, alas I missed the boat and it was happily working away when I turned up.

I thought these were worthy of sharing. The Park was landscaped by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Work began in 1751 and it was his first complete landscape job. Many large Oaks were planted around this period - Does the Oak look around 260 years old?

I didn’t spot any FB’s, but the Oak on the left was extensively hollow. I know that these fields were also grazed by cattle for many years, perhaps this has hastened their decline…?

Excellant photo John. Shame that "Hank" the well known Police Male Model wasn't in the shot. :001_tongue::001_tongue:

I walked right into that one didn't I ! Fair play..:001_smile:

I like this shot too with the young Oak – Its almost displaying four phases of an Oaks life (with some over-lap!)
