Redwood Coast Photography Contest / Show

Heard that there's a photography contest in Del Norte county (California, USA) annually near the Harbor. Decided to give a shot at entering 4 images this autumn. 4 is the limit, and it was a trip trying to narrow-down which 4 to go with. All are tree or forest related in some way.

Here are the 4 images I hope to enter.

The water seems cold in picture 2:001_rolleyes:

Beautiful pictures, I know which is my favourite though:biggrin:

Yes .. it was chilly.

I tried one adjustment removing her nipple, but it it did not improve the image at all. So I left her form looking more or less natural.

I did another portrait indoors in portland where smoothing over the breast worked best. But in this redwood forest shoot it's the opposite.

i think you should leave anything like nipple in pictures in my opinion. natural is better as far as these sort of photos are concerned.

is it a model in photo two or just a good looking gal?

She does part time modeling. She's the same who helped the my giant redwood tree photos, wearing the long colorful dresses. We worked together on photos about 9 times. Usually, we included an extra outfit or idea. This water reflection was a spontaneous add-on when we were leaving the forest and noticed excellent lighting and shadows in one area.

This image will not be entered, but just adjusted and ordered a test print this morning, hoping to make it a pair for sale with the other posted earlier. The wide angle lens magnified her foot which was closest to the lens, so I adjusted the foot to 1/2 size, and added a canvas texture.
