Check all fuel lines are sealed properly, and no blockages, fuel filter clean & no water in tank,eeeerm, is there a fueltank breather? if none of these, back to carb.

there is a breather, the saw seems to run a wee bit lumpy but i put that down to the porting ?

 

if there is any scoring on the piston i would say that that is problem new pot and piston or bin

sorry, its the muffler thats ported, was running ok ish before but i just wanted to sort the cutting out lol

 

If you have over reved it after the porting, that will have scored the pot and piston and killed the saw.

 

Lumpy running and cutting out is one of the symptoms of scoring.

lol its not getting dumped yet lol, my great uncle jack is a dab hand with 2 stroke engines, the mans a genius lol il pop it into him at some point
