Geoff do me a favour and pick up the saw and give it a slow gentle shake to see if yours rattles like it has a loose marble inside the exhaust. Cheers ken.

well the replacement exhaust i had under warranty is rattling too. Looks like the very same problem as before where the 'cat' or lozenge shaped baffle has worked loose and rattles around within the exhaust. Saw still runs fine though.

Can't say this has happened to mine either. Why not just strip the cat out and tune it to suit, would just have a bit more poke at a guess

Coletti i'd hafta cut the zorst in half to remove the cat which i don't wanna do as the saw is still under warranty.

THE88MAN, did ya use an Echo 10'' bar or was it another brand ?

tank yew Geoff. I went in to see Radmore & Tucker yesserday re. the rattling zorst and told them to order in anudder zorst under warranty. Decided not to leave the saw with them as i eggspect it'll take a few weeks to sort out as Echo spares supply is very slow and i may need the saw if i have any problems with my 200T. Saw still runs fine, it just rattles like a marble in a tin can.

Here are some pics of the faulty zorst. You can see the circular baffle/cat thats come loose and causing the rattle. Also look at the tuning potential of that exhaust and the alloy heat shield which cud be trimmed to allow exhaust gasses to escape a bit free'r / quicker. The exhaust port on the enjun cud be 'tidied up' too in order to produce some more power. Yew will also see the alloy chain catcher i fitted over the stock Echo nylon affair which is not up to the job in my humble onion.
