Has anyone got a speed control rather than stepped pulleys.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a new 3 phase motor and phase convertor with speed control and do away with stepped pulleys.

Problem is to speed control a motor, it either has to be a dc motor, one that runs on brushes or 3 phase with the convertor.

A motor and convertor runs at £200

Then I need a chuck and plates another £200

That'll be £600

I'm going to have to sell a lot of bowls to get mi brass back :001_smile:
