I used my t540xp properly for the first time today and discovered that husky have made the fuel hole so small that it wont accept my stihl fuel spout, my other huskys are a tight fit, but this is tiny!:001_rolleyes:

Any mods out there, or do I have to buy a separate fuel can for this saw?

If thats all you have to worrie about so far with you T540 you are getting off lightly !

Mine wont fit:thumbdown:

And Stubby, its only been used twice, today was its first work out, bogged down a lot and lacked revs when needed, hope the auto tune will sort itself out soon.

Going to buy a new fuel can tomorrow, bloody bind:sneaky2:

The new Stihl auto spouts fit albeit a little tight, the ones with a kink. the older short straight ones do not fit.

Why don't you just buy a normal spout for your combi?

Because the auto stop one works really well with all the others.

I went to my local dealer and we offered up the old style husky auto fill, still didn't seat properly, this time the shoulders were to broad, and the nozel didnt go into the tank fully, spilling fuel.

will buy an old school combi for this saw, and stick with my tried and trusted stihl on all the rest. Its only a small niggle, but want to be moving forward with technology not backwards:sneaky2:
