Isuzu D-max towing

So I went a bit wild a got a Isuzu D-max to replace the Landrover.

However, I'm finding it a bit hard to get off the line with a heavy trailer. It just seems a bit high geared in 1st.

I'm wondering if anyone else is finding the same, or if I'm just too used to using low box in the Landrover and need to learn better clutch control!?

I got the Yukon, with a bunch of stuff bolted on. Was looking about on ebay, auto trader etc, and also rang round a load of dealers to see what they could find. Eventually found one about 150 miles from home, had to get them to change a few things and also haggled a bit.

Which one have you got?

I find it can take a bit of clutch work to get them moving when dragging some weight. You'll get used to it. Plenty revs and gentle but steady with the clutch. Don't want to ride it too long but it needs a bit to get going without stalling!

Thanks, seems it might not just be me. I've onyl had it 2 weeks, so hopefully its still a case of getting the hang of it.

How many miles have you got on yours?
