i been a climber now for almost 35 years when i first start everyone use to free climb and on a hot summers day we just wear a pair of shorts, over the years i have seem massive changes some for the better and some not, but it seem that slowly we are heading towards mewp work eg. do you wonder what the future holds for climbers it would be such a shame a skill to disappear b for ever because of health and safety rules

It'll never happen.

 

I have to say i'm inclined to agree mate. They tried to ban top handled saws and the industry stopped that. Not every job can be done from a mewp, so there will always be a place for rope and harness imo.:001_smile:

just look what happen in germany i think we will go the same way or hse will make it so expensive ie mewps and scaffold it will push most small business out

Thats right, they lost the war!!!

 

WE ain't Germany and we never will be.

 

They live for legislation, they won't fart without the correct paper work in triplicate.

 

 

 

 

 

but we are in the european laws we cant hide for that sadly
