Talked to guy who bought chinese tractor at half price of massey

Said dealer in essex was total wa***r

Contacted chinese manufacturer, spares in his hand in three days

He had nothing but praise for them

One of problems is importers buy on price

Then provide no back up

Used to be inundated with guys bringing in chinese motorbikes, they hadn't got a clue what they were doing ......when they had container of bikes they couldn't shift, support was first thing out of the window.....

The engine is totally wrecked as a result and have emailed launtop China to let them know about it. Got a response within an hour expressing their disappointment that their product has let me down and promised a further response within 48 hours.

When my honda petrol claps out I was going to fit a used 2 cyl watercooled Yanmar or similar running around 2000 rpm. Plenty of torque and economical. Its a shame the chinese stuff goes off like this a bit more quality control and they could make a decent machine.

Latest response from China. As much as they regret the failure of their engine they are worried that my log splitter was putting untested strain on the motor and this could of caused the malfunction. If my splitter was made to a world standard then they would have helped. WHAT A BLOODY INSULT!!!l

Hirst and sons have gone. Brian owns the bit with the weigh bridge and the other bit at bank top is cleared and shut. Brian may have stuff around but he is no hoarder its in and out or squashed.

Pi££es you off this sort of comment. A failed engine is really gold to the designers as it shows where their product needs improvement .....

Eg Land Rover took same attitude as above and their gearboxes are crap, mitsubishi gearbox layshafts used to fail but within a year or two they had made them stronger, they still occasionally broke so they made them even thicker - problem solved...

A sensible company would be desperate to understand why their engines failed,

You can take a horse to water........

I Agree whole heartedly I used to be in defect investigation and it is amazing what you can learn from the broken bits. They have certainly missed a trick here and lost some friends to boot.
