What do you guys do with your softwood?

Customers still ask for mixed loads.. The ones that call up specifically asking for hardwood can usually mean headache in my experience. We cater for all.

Why won't your biomass guy take it?? My mate who supplies biomass chip only uses softwood. As others have said, log it up and sell it.

Providing myself and the family are fully stocked up all mine gets sold. Facebook, gumtree, anywhere. Always collected within a couple of days.

honestly no idea why folks wont burn softwoods, its all i burnt for years. some of hottest burning was a lawsons cypress hedge i got off a member on here. amazing stuff for autumn and spring as few logs got room hot.

 

if you were up here and wanted a sensible price i would bite hand off for more softwood.

 

some local places sell it for a fortune per ton/cube depending on measure, like 130 quid for a tattie box level split
