If you think those works of art are expensive, you should have seen some of the offerings at the Chelsea flower show.

One exhibitor had made a horse out of what looked like bits of bark, sticks and the stuff you normally have lying around on a site after you have brought a tree down. Asking price £23,000

Check out a website by Heather Jansch , I think she is the originator of the driftwood / bone oak horse sculptures and they are very good indeed and very expensive ! She seems to have made good connections somewhere and these are now in art galleries and private collections around the world , good luck to her , but I think others would just like a share of such luck themselves ( not in a jealous way ! ) It may have been hard work making such connections , but that is how life works .

I looked at James doran webbs site and it is very impressive stuff , it would appear it is his stuff at chelsea , do people who pay such money for such things realise it's limited life span outdoors ? same for chainsaw carvings .. esp spalted beech . Heather jansch now has bronze casts of her work and this is very complex and expensive to do but most excellent though ! I now realise CFS is chelsea ...doh...!!!
