Global Sales up in Brum have done a load like that - usually machines that have been traded in as the actual labour costs in the strip down and then re-assembly can be a major cost. Why not strip it yourselves and get it blasted/coated locally and re-manufacture it yourselves over a weekend for fits and giggles? Chuck some new bearings, fans and bushes in her and jobsagoodun!

I did consider it pete but I didn't want it to become "one of those jobs I started ages ago"

Try Richard Court Forestry; he's based in Surrey but he does travel and he is very good.

I would have to agree give him a try, Richard Court is a sound bloke.

I've just done this to my 150 tw , bearing where rumbling so stripped the lot , £200 to powder coat the parts , new side panels £80 each , put some bearing in £45 , anvils etc , & sticker set machines now mint , not too difficult a job , :))

Hi Karl, Landpower Machinery are TW dealers and repairers and sure do refurbs. They are based in Templecombe, Somerset, 01963 370752. Google them, they have website etc. I have purchased chippers and used them for repairs etc and they are very good and professional.
