Has similar one whe I was assessing

They were changing bulbs in street lamps

Drove from lamp to lamp with guy on cherry picker

Stopped bit fast and flicked him off top

Accident investigation tried to replicate it

And almost fliked another guy off top

Broke his ribs I think

A chap round this way chopped the end of his finger off on a machine at work, a couple of months later he had to rein act it with hse present and cut the end of his other finger off!

I have heard of another story similar to this, but cannot remember the details.

I dont know if I would ever have 100 percent trust in something that relies on electronics for its ultimate stability. I think I will stick with the old school clunkers we have that have mechanical limitations for reach/height vs counterweight.

It was when I first started assessing in early 1980's

Legal department was involved not me .....

Different times....

Ah, ok, I didn't mean to intimate any personal criticism, apologies if it read that way. I didn't realise from your earlier post that you might have actually been involved. I was just expressing my surprise at the scenario but as you say, different times! So many things are a universe away from how they were in the 80's, some for the better maybe some not so much so, at least we've got the Sweeny/Minder on rerun TV to remind us!

Hadn't really thought about it ....

Lots of stuff in legal department

Childrens folding pram sold by quality high street brand

Had criss cross folding support

Kid reached down, pulled lock, and sliced all his fingers off ( neatly)

Proper scissor action

That was hushed up .....
