CHIPPER to break or not to break!!!

Hi, All after a bit of advice,

Recently bought a new chipper, so my number 1 chipper became my second chipper.

Here is where my problem begins, so my old second chipper is now redundant due to don't need 3.

problem is I am reluctant to sell as a working unit as it really needs a rotor overhaul and a real good tidy up.

My idea was to break for spares ....it is a 1999 Entec with a 2005 25hp engine

up until a month ago it was still being used.

What would you guys do????

Don't want the hassle of comebacks or to rip anyone off.

Cheers Matty :thumbup1:

sensible comments greatly received.

Sell it as working but in need of some tlc? Be honest about it's condition and you're not ripping anyone off, and they have no grounds to come back at you.

If you break it for spares, you not only have the time and hassle of stripping it, but also risk being left with half a chipper, after people have bought some bits but you can't shift the rest. At least once you have sold it, it's gone.

I auction every thing. I get twice as much for each generator without putting my name or warranty on it. I have put junk in with £600 reserve and it sold for £3000 . Auction no come backs, buyer beware, auctions are full of old tight wealthy bargain hunters on very good pensions with too much time on there hands.
