i liked the blacksmith's work and i've recorded the stonemason's episode to watch later but speaking as a turner and joiner with a qualification in furniture making i was woefully disapointed with the quality of the craftsmanship on the wood workers episode.

 

they were primarily designers and they were asking them to produce top notch furniture.

 

i went for a job at benchmark last year and saw the quality of what they produce and knew they were not up to standard and was gobsmacked that they wanted both tables. i think they wanted them for their design capabilities not their manufacturing ones...

agree with steve, as woodworkers, they were good plasterers, I've seen better work coming out of school woodwork classrooms
