was going to ask, how do I get a video off my phone on to comp?? can get pics off phone onto here, cant be to difficult??

vibration wise, it was terrible, till I put the braces in 45deg across the corners, it was all trial and error, but seems ok now.

going to put it through its paces this weekend, got about 7 ton of ash I want to split, so that should be a good test.

will try and do a vid.

did,nt get a vid today, perhaps tomorrow, but I had a good day, split about two ton, what do you call those bits that are like a junction, where two branches vee out??

anyway, had a few of then kicking about that I never split we a axe, machine pulled straight through them, very impressed with it myself.

as for my cheap splitting cone, so far its still got a very good edge on it, being as it were a cheapy I thought it would loose its edge pretty fast.

the dangerous side of things, I aint come across any yet, had one thin little bit of branch flip over and rap my knuckles, but hey you live and learn.

best bit of kit ive made for a while, enjoyable to use. might get a vid up tomorrow, if not next weekend.

  • 3 months later...

been a while since I had a play with me splitter, work and other things getting in the way. at the minute ive a ridiculous amount of wood that needs splitting, some being a couple of year old.

so ive a week of work to sort a few of the jobs out that ive fell behind with. just a pic of my modid splitter, wide wheels and a trator exhaust.
