I'm not sellling one!:001_rolleyes: I am simply responding to a question re sub 500 quid stoves, which incidentally the OP never said NO Chinese when first posting but made it clear it must be less than £500.

I can only speak from experience and having run one as a second stove for 5 years without problem for the mighty sum of 300 quid, its not bad. I run an expensive Esse as my primary heat source and whilst it kicks out the heat as a British made product it is not without faults wrt to quality control. I'm not preaching its better than Jotul, I know that its not, just answering the original question which the OP has now amended. :001_cool:

It wasn't getting at you. Just the fact about their ads:thumbup1:

Slightly above budget but we got a DRU44 multifuel a couple of years ago and I'm impressed with it. They are rated for continuous use, firebox is not huge but then for a 5kW stove probably not that much difference from its peers.

How about the company BigJ got his from.

Champion Stove Company

I've got two stoves myself, one in my office (4kw) and a monster at home (20kw). You'll not get a better stove for the money and I rather suspect that you won't get a better one for twice the price. I got a 7kw stove for my elderly ex neighbour and she is utterly smitten with it. £285.

Scroll through the gallery for pictures - my monster and her 7kw stove both have the art deco sunburst glass doors.

Best thing for me is that as one British chap with a small business (not going to say that I'm a small businessman!), I'm buying from another British chap with a small business.

I'm not big on stoves but I've heard of aga I'm looking at the wentlock are these stoves built well and what would the life expectancy be?

I've got a feeling spuds mate wants one of these little stoves, I've looked at a few and it was this one that caught my eye. The price is decent, it looks really nice and it's a name that stands out from the rest basically because I've heard of aga
