i am in a similar position Justme - although i haven't got my small patch of woodland just yet (it's my inheritance :001_cool:) 7 1/2 acres copse of mostly chestnut :001_cool:

 

i will be needing plenty of advice - and i am very pleased to have found this site - i even dreamt about it last night - how sad is that :001_tt1:

Looks like this is the place to say hello,so Hello all.

 

I'm an arborist of 16 years,worked in the UK and Australia,all good fun(Mostly).

 

Spotted this site somwehere along the way and thought i'd join up as always good to learn a little more if you can.

Just applied for the arb Tech course online at myerscough,after meaning to for a few years now,but only when the winters came along did i really think hard about it,still think i'm 21 somedays.

 

Hoping to have a lot of Brains to pick on here.

Used to be a wakefieldoinian,but moved to the wirral after meeting a buxom lady from these parts.

Worked in Desbury for a while with Simon Armitage,that was a learning curve!

Lived in Kirkheaton for a while on/off,thats round them there Huddersfield ways you know.

 

Later on spent a few years with WMDC.

 

Do you know any of the lads that usd to work iover Dewsbury way about the time the sawmill was running on the Ravensthorpe industrial estate?

John Hanwell etc?
