The next 222 I had had a 45hp 4 cyl turbo engine and was well on top of its work and very economical with it.

I have to agree Nige, that was a good machine with a good engine, it was good on fuel aswell far better than my 55hp greenmech. The isuzu enging in the greenmech seems a stronger unit though, not as highly strung as the turbo unit in the kwik chip, saying that it never let me down, must of had a sympathetic user before me:thumbup:

That would have been Derbyshire Council, Ian! Then we got hold of it! :001_tongue:

We made it earn its money, but looked after it.

It was good on fuel though, chipped a load of leylandii in a day, 32 m3 for less than 30 litres of diesel.

On usual run of the mill pruning type jobs it used next to nothing.

If I was after a road tow on a turntable, I would have another. Well it would be a Tunnissen 190 nowadays.

Whats the Timberwolfs like then anyone?

anyone got fuel figures for a vermeer 1800xl 170hp cummins, thanks

Excellent chipper - just been on their web-site, no fuel figures anywhere - I guess they think if you can afford one of these monsters, you can afford to run it! :laugh1:

the figures that have been quoted to me indicate that the chipper would not get a 8 hr day from the tank which i find a bit odd

Very! Like I said earlier, my BC1000 seems fairly good - I recon It'll do 5 days continuous work before a fill-up.
