200T ten-min cutout

Hi, can anyone of you mechanically minded guys suggest a possible cause/causes for my 200T running for only ten minutes at a time? Its very frustrating starting a job up a tree only to have it cut out and not re-start. I was thinking poss a fuel blockage but surely it wouldn't run so long before....? I like to try and cure problems myself if I can before I pay out! Anyone experienced similar? Thanks in advance.:confused1:

After it cuts out open and close the fuel cap then try to start it, if it starts then you have released the vacuum and treequips diagnosis is correct. Spud will be along to sort it soon

+1

The other possibility after that is a split or hole in the fuel pickup pipe - if the test above does not indicate a vacuum then have a good look at the hose inside the tank. After it cuts out will it start again without filling up the fuel tank?

Cheers

There is another possiblity...the fuel pickup is floating at the top of the tank! At least I hope this is the cause/problem. I've jammed it back down into the bottom of the tank. I'll give it a 1/2 hour full fuel tank run and see if it was that simple!:001_rolleyes:

Does it keep full power and cut out all of a sudden or do the rev's just die off and splutter to a stop?

How long does it take before it will start again? Does it need to cool down first? How do you get it started again?

It could also be as well as mentioned: a hair line crack on the iginition coil, when it heats up it parts and therefore the ignition circut is lost until cooling and contracting reestablishes the loop? Could be...:blushing:
