  1. Hi all, I'' curious to the answer regarding what prerequisites exist for attending chainsaw from rope in harness, not in relation to climbing but chainsaw aspect. If an individual only holds a Lantra chainsaw assessment and not NPTC can the achieve the NPTC ticket for chainsaw from rope and harness or do they need to complete the small trees, cross cut & assessment first? All opinions welcome however some link to text based facts would be great (can't find anything myself!). Thanks, Ali
  2. Dodgy parts lists and questionable photos. Thanks for the help!
  3. Ah, so why does the 372 appear to not have the same split in the air horn if it is indeed the more or less the same saw? The fly wheel side? You'll have to loosen the block and lift it slightly to get the other side.
  4. I know there is already a thread on the subject, bare with me. So to convert a 365 X-Torq to 372 X-Torq supposedly all I have to do is remove the baffles on both transfer port covers? OK I've done that. Now I've also noticed there is a portioning spade in the air intake between the carb and the air filter, as far I can tell this is only causing further restriction? So does the 372 have this? Surely if I remove it the saw can only breath easier? I've tried googling pictures and from what I can tell the 372 doesn't have it. All the videos and advise I've read is only the baffle ports need removed? Any one have an opinion? Ali
  5. 338xpt, 350 and 365... I use a 28" bar on the 365 from time to time but it's only occasionally. Planning getting a beefier saw for the bigger work
  6. Does it keep full power and cut out all of a sudden or do the rev's just die off and splutter to a stop? How long does it take before it will start again? Does it need to cool down first? How do you get it started again? It could also be as well as mentioned: a hair line crack on the iginition coil, when it heats up it parts and therefore the ignition circut is lost until cooling and contracting reestablishes the loop? Could be...
