How to write off a chipper

Apparently treequip, $35k for a new cab on the truck gets it back on the road. I was of the same opinion as you; totalled.

That's reasonable, I suppose the high value of the bin lift gear makes the truck more repairable. I am pretty sure UK insurers would have given it a write off.

 

Your chipper will go again for a lot less

We have had Three Bandit chippers over the years involved in accidents, one was shunted from behind & ended up imbedded in the top of the windscreen of the car.

 

Outcome car written off chipper that was only 6" new tailboard & pole coupling, didn't even smash the lights.

It always amazes me how the hitch couplings and their fittings hang in there. Did the driver admit to driving quickly? I made a bigger mess of a landrover pulling a trailer 12 years ago. I was only doing 40mph and due to broken spring leaves on the trailer it just snaked everywhere. Pictures are early digital days:001_rolleyes:
