Rope Wrench & Zig Zag?

I know that some people have tried it but wondered If it worked out well.

We were at work chatting about it and it just got me thinking.

It would be an easy option if you already have a RW or ZZ.

Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!

I've tried it and I prefer rw ZZ combo to just a ZZ on DRT

Been a while since I demoed a ZZ but if I remember correctly you can't grab the tether to advance the whole system up (it just doesn't work) you have to grab the ZZ to advance the system, i.e ascending without a chest loop on. Nota. Big deal but struck me as different. Overall works well in my opinion,ImageUploadedByArbtalk1395820667.680407.jpg.1156ffda1f77388c54dc80f25393f596.jpg

Shouldn't the tether be connected to the top eye so the ZZ is aligned properly. It looks like it's under a lot of strain in that position

Maybe, I only tried it this way and it seem to work fine, I did look at where the links end up which are attached to the body when under load and it didn't look too bad.

( don't have the zigzag anymore otherwise would try it the other way :) )

Can understand your thinking though

If the bottom of the tether is connected to the ZZ with a U-shaped shackle and the shackle pin is though the ZZ and tether, the shackle U could be used as the chest clip point.

Brilliant!

That way everything would be neat and inline.

I'm pretty sure the ZZ is NOT rated for SRT.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't use it with a RW mind.

Shame as I thought they would have made something for srt use and ddrt.a bit of diversity. Do you think they won't because srt isn't fully recognised as a work positioning technique?
