Started out clear and brisk, this afternoon turned into a beast, :thumbdown:high winds, driving rain and a mower and strimmer that both decided to quit. 2 gortex jackets, flexothanes and boots all decided to give up the ghost. How was your day?

Log burners been blasting out all evening, hot bath, glass o malt and under floor heating all on to sort the aches from the pains:thumbup:

glad I took the day off. Out all afternoon tomorrow with the chainsaw instead. Taking my tarp just in case though.

Today...I think it will be a 'manky' greasy day felling Lawsons in the drizzle.

It was a "wring out the trousers and undies" sort of morning yesterday.

 

And then, as if to add insult to injury, it started raining.

we were lucky down this neck of the woods stayed dry all day cloudy with a bit of mizzel in afternoon. did not rain untill it was dark. now sunshine out again.

Brilliant, that made me laugh out loud, on a par with everytime RobRainford posts as he has a signature that says

Sometimes I wake up grumpy; other times I let her sleep.

Makes me smile everytime, quality.

Managed to drop a couple of Hollies today and reduce a budleia that had gone nuts. All good practice as next week it's dropping some 50ft Connies that have been allowed to run riot. Not a problem other than the garden they are dropping into is 30 ft wide and I don't really climb anymore... Game on.

Also did a jet wash this afternoon before the rain came in again!!
