I think sometimes there can be variations in even the same rope, someone on here commented that there tachyon doesn't milk, mine milked about 50cm, i don't have a problem with that though. I find my 45m has almost no stretch it'll give a little then be solid. The poison Ivy is even more solid almost totally static with hardly any stretch, the poison ivy is very soft alomost flabby when new, where as the tachyon is firm in the hand yet still very flexible. Both very good 11.5m ropes just different.

We also have a Velocity 11m as a footlocking line, and side by side with blaze is the one with the least stretch and is the better line imo.

Blaze is just to thin for me, tachyon or poison ivy is a good compromise.

Again though there can be inconsistency with the same rope, my Elderid 12mm is very hard and firm and a little to bouncy, yet the elderid 12mm i tried for a week was more flexible and had less stretch so i was a little dissapointed the one i bought was not the same.

ive got the blue tongue(aussie poison ivy) and really rate it-not as static as my NRG line which is my number one access line but nicer feel in hand. Tachyon is ordered so here goes................cheers for the feedback bro-now its getting cold and wet here im starting to dislike my blaze again.

yer right its chilling off here and im going off my line now, got the gloves out too, the days are good just chilly as in the night, i wouldnt say dont get a tachyon to be honest i do like it as a line but i would go for a blue tongue myself, i think there are so many valid points here and they are all good but the main thing i have got from this is that we all have our own preferences and do things a little different and thats great.

as long as we are all having fun and doing good work then let the good times roll

ive got a 45m green tachyon, in my opinion its the best rope ive ever used, hardly any stretch, good colours, not had any milking at all, holds its shape well and pluss i can get 45m of tachyon plus my treemotion, a wire core strop, soft strop and gloves all in a small silver bull bag!!!!!!!!!!!! i will buy another when this is past its best!
