I'm hopefully sorted with the mounts now, found a set of bar studs on eBay for £3, going to try the bar of my husky 576xp on it, later ImageUploadedByArbtalk1395770266.064952.jpg.3f6ec32871550bf948e99557efb3d765.jpg

Nice Ed - were they new? If so can you send the link?

Also just noticed in the pic your drive rim is pretty worn - make sure you replace it if you get a new bar!

thanks for the link ed i will get a set at that price

now that i have lathed down my studs i cant use the old sachs dolmar large bar mounts do you want to sell the original bar studs you have taken out

Posted

They've run out of studs but there's another on ebay selling for £4-95.

I'm hoping I haven't found a fly in the ointment - but with 8mm studs won't this give a K095 type mount and not a D009 mount?

K095 = 8mm slot

D009 = 9mm slot

So then if only a K095 mount max bar would be 24" - did you get a chance to try your 576 bar on the Makita Ed? It'll fit but is there a lot of play where it sits over the mounting bolts?

There is abit of play but as far as I can see it all lines up, and the bar doesn't move with side casing on, ImageUploadedByArbtalk1396613921.711118.jpg.daabe1526d708e562cc4f64d2fe99e88.jpg
