Danarm 1-73 and 1-93

Anyone remember using these great old saws Danarm 1-73 and 1-93, used to own both and wish I still did. Only fault was lack of chain brake

 

Someone bought what looked like a 1-73 on here a couple of weeks back . posted a picture asking what we all thought it was ....

Thanks but too old, interesting to note though that from an engineering perspective the shape of the cutter bar on those old saws is better than modern bar design

 

But you can't turn them to even out the ware .....

I don't see why, don't know about that particular saw but on 110s which look very similar blade was symmetrical and could be turned

 

Oh OK . So why do you think its a better design than modern bars ?
