Chipper flywheel bearings

shane just out of intrest , did you used to put the lever through one of the panels you took off to change the blades ? ive not had them done since ive had it off you ? nothing seems out of the ordinary other than som bigger bits of wood seem to be a bit noisy ?

 

I'm well chuffed the bearings have done you well. I guess they did a good job fitting those new ones just before I sold it. :thumbup1:

 

IIRC you can put the lever through the plate you take off for the 'outer' knife, to see if there's any play.

 

Just check every time you change the knives.

 

Keep up the maintenance and all should be fine.

They have sorted the mess problem adjustable spout and longer shoot no more mess. Hare and tortoise who won the race lol.

 

No they haven't, I demoed one 2 month ago, mess every where and rollers that kept jamming up on bits of wood.

Bit unfair as I said you could have extended flipper & different rollers FOC, all of which are now std.

Truethfull though, if its a know problem why not fit them as standard?

Std fitment now, there pics on here of the new rollers & the flipper can be seen on the picture of the tracked chipper.

Did somebody on here have a forst where the bearings went? One of our St6's has just relieved itself of its bearings and gone through the machine, just wondered if this has happened to others?

 

 

How many hours??
