Info on insurance in Ireland

Hi , id be very grateful if anyone can help me on the following.

We used to have a decent sized firewood operation ,400 Ton P.A. plus up to around 15 years ago with all insurance in place . Then the Boom over here sent me a different direction , now im back at the firewood game working off my brothers insurance .

I have the basic city and guilds course done and am booked in for the CS 34 . Is there anyway , without forming a company that i can insure myself independantly to indemnify landowners where im working to risks to myself and the public .

The contributors here seem to be generally well informed so if anyone can point me in the right direction id appreciate it ,.

I got public liability insurance in the UK to do tree surgery in ireland and i dont have my own company or anything just yet.

 

Considering the quote i got for worse insurance in ireland was almost double what i got it for in the UK I wouldnt look towards the few insurance companies that deal with this industry in Ireland.

 

Unfortunately I cant help in relation to the type of insurance your after but im sure there will be somebody with a bit more knowledge along soon to answer your question.

Hi I'm living and working out here in west cork . Theres a good well priced company called Insight risk management operating out of cork airport business park. Do all arb and groundworks contractor insurance. For Ireland ,really open to all risks .give em a call. Shaun
