I had a knocking noise when in 4 wheel drive and diagnosed it as the front propshaft. Got a replacement, and now I can't get the old one off! It seems that the transfer box and chassis rail are in the way. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong!!?

I dont remember taking any crossmembers off my n reg hilux when i changed the front prop, and i was very un mechanical back then, so probably wouldnt have done it if you had to take anything else off.

Thanks for the replies guys, got it sorted today, I took the axle end off first and then it was possible to lift the prop up and just about get a socket and skinny extension bar to the bolts.
