If the tree officer sees that it won't have a TPO for long. Get it down soon and you can sell it this winter.

 

Rob, are you suggesting the TPO will be reviewed / revoked? If so, it's an interesting point (albeit I'm probably taking it off topic.)

 

I've been wondering how many LAs review the validity of existing TPOs. I may be pleasantly surprised but I wouldn't bet my mortgage on it! When I get a minute I think a FOI request to my LA is due.

With my local TO he will exempt a tree from a tpo if he feels it's necessary I.e. Unsafe trees, like the one in the original post. The TO here is very switched on and I have a good relationship with him so it makes matters easier.

 

Why would a tree officer refuse to exempt a tree from a tpo when an application would go through anyway?
