Blackthorn as Timber

Hello,

 

A mate has a load of windblown blackthorn, about 6" plus diameter, 8' length, is this worth anything except for firewood? Just wondering as you don't often see it this big.

I would be very interested. I am trying to collect up enough plum species to make wardrobes out of and that would be ideal.
